Did You know that.

Currently deaf participation rates, according to Sport England Active People 7 Quarter 4, are just
10.8%- the lowest across all disability sports, with the average level of disabled participation being
around 18%. The survey will help us to create more opportunities

There are approximately 250 deaf coaches in England 77% of them are level 1. The survey will help us make the case to get more deaf coaches qualified.

The Deaflympics is an I.O.C recognised event that is not funded by UK Government agencies. In contrast
£71,247,756 has been invested in the Paralympic sport in Rio 2016. A strong survey response will support the development of deaf sport and our lobbying for better financial support.

National Sport and Physical Activity Survey

UK Deaf Sport is committed to creating more opportunities for deaf and hard of hearing people to exercise and play sport. To do this we need your help; we want to know about your views, experiences and attitudes towards sport and physical activity

By taking part in this survey you are helping to shape the future of sport and physical activity for people who are deaf or hard of hearing.

The information you provide is hugely important to us, as we want to ensure that deaf sport and physical activity are not marginalised or ignored. It will support future funding applications for deaf sport and help provide more opportunities for people who are deaf or hard of hearing to play, coach and volunteer in sport.

The survey is deaf friendly and there is also a BSL introduction . Every response is important so please complete the survey by clicking on the button below
