Every Kid in a Park Enters Year Two
OAK announced its Every Kid in a Park fall program line-up, as the initiative launches into its second year. Across the country, OAK members are connecting tens of thousands of fourth graders with the outdoors this fall.

This month, National Park Trust, The North Face, and OAK joined the National Park Service to co-host an Every Kid in a Park event for 90 fourth graders in New York City. This was the first of five kick-off events funded by The North Face Explore Fund.

Additionally, several National Park Trust Buddy Bison students from Maryland and DC joined National Parks Conservation Association and OAK earlier this month to visit members of Congress to thank them for their support of Every Kid in a Park and share personal stories about their national park experiences.

Celebrating National Hispanic Heritage Month
National Hispanic Heritage Month is September 15-October 15. OAK Steering Committee member Latino Outdoors invites you to celebrate by joining one of their outdoor events! Latino Outdoors is a network of leaders committed to engaging Latinxs in the outdoors, connecting familias and youth with nature, and empowering our community of storytellers to explore and share their personal experiences.
