Every Kid in a Park Virtual Reality Experience
In its second year, the Every Kid in a Park initiative is connecting hundreds of thousands of youth with the great outdoors. This month, an Every Kid in a Park Virtual Reality Experience was released featuring First Lady Michelle Obama and Modern Family star Nolan Gould (Sierra Club Ambassador)! The film was co-produced by Sub Rosa, Jaunt Inc., The North Face and Civic Nation. Check out this great blog celebrating Every Kid in a Park from White House Council on Environmental Quality's Managing Director Christy Goldfuss!

Legislative Highlights during Lame-Duck
The Recreation's Economic Contributions (REC) Act was signed into law in December, which will measure the impact outdoor recreation has on the overall U.S. economy and offer detailed economic statistics on this part of the economy that aren't currently available. The passage of the National Park Service Centennial Act will help protect our parks and ensure more youth can enjoy them.
