Welcome, Jasmin Estrada!

Please join me in welcoming Jasmin Antonia Estrada of the Appalachian Mountain Club to OAK's Steering Committee! Jasmin is AMC’s Partnerships Manager for Educators Outdoors. She manages several of AMC’s youth outdoor education and adventure programs, including the programs that get kids outdoors ---specifically kids who wouldn’t otherwise have easy access or the means for backcountry outings--- by training youth workers in outdoor leadership and providing access to gear and trip planning assistance.

National Park Trust College Ambassador Program

The National Park Trust is looking for pairs of college ambassadors at 6 schools to lead initiatives on their college campuses that increase outdoor recreation participation and stewardship among the campus community while also increasing access and awareness of parks and outdoor places.

Resources Include:

  • A $1,000 stipend for each ambassador AND $2,500 for each college/university to support ambassador outings throughout the academic year.
  • Each school will receive a fishing gear bank for 15 people (pole and tackle box) to be used for the ambassador associated fishing outing. The school will keep the fishing gear for future school-related outdoor activities.
  • Each ambassador will receive a National Park Trust Ambassador t-shirt, a backpack and water bottle from Hydro Flask, National Park Trust swag, and more.
