The annual gathering of the Outdoors Alliance for Kids (OAK) is being held this May 17 - 18, 2022 in Washington, D.C.! OAK Week is a once a year opportunity to network with other OAK members, recognize champions in the field, help shape OAK's campaigns, and make our collective voices heard with agency leaders and in the halls of Congress. 

This year, OAK Week will be in-person, at an outdoors venue in Washington, D.C., with the option to participate virtually.

 

Participation in OAK Week is free to attend and welcome to OAK members, prospective members, partners, and supporters. 

OAK members are encouraged to invite staff and volunteers from your organization to participate. Please have each individual planning to attend fill out this form so we can plan accordingly.

Nominations are OPEN for the
2022 Outdoors Alliance for Kids (OAK) Awards! 🏆

The OAK Awards will be held in-person and outdoors (with the option to participate virtually) in Washington, D.C., during OAK Week 2022, May 17-18! The OAK Awards honor exemplary service in connecting kids to the outdoors. 

Last call! OAK invites you to submit nominations for OAK Award recipients by TODAY: Friday, April 22, 2022. 


Pssst... yep, you can nominate yourself or someone in your organization! 

 
OAK Award Categories:


The OAK Leaf Award recognizes an individual or organization among OAK's membership that goes above and beyond to support OAK's policy or programmatic goals.





The OAK Tree Award recognizes strong leadership in connecting kids with nature. Eligible recipients include federal, state, or local elected leaders or administration officials.





The OAK Canopy Award is a legacy/lifetime achievement award for an individual who has demonstrated extraordinary leadership in multi-sector collaboration to get kids outdoors.





The OAK Acorn Award recognizes exemplary youth leadership in the field to connect young people with our parks and public lands.
