7pm - front yard communion in North College Park
see links for online events at www.hopecp.org
Dear People of Hope,
We have had two front yard communion services and there are two remaining. Join any of these events for in person prayer and communion. They are outdoors, simple and short; communion is served in safely pre-packaged cups. And yet we are together, in the flesh, sharing the body and blood of Christ.
First we gathered in Greenbelt at John Henry's place. Even at 92-years old, he had prepared his garden to be a welcoming space. The group gathered in the yard, amidst the vibrant plants and sounds of happy bugs.
Next we gathered in College Park Estates at JT, Jacob and Alex's house after the virtual school day ended. Neighboring families walked and biked over. It was a beautiful afternoon.
This Sunday evening we meet at Pat's place in North College Park. And NEXT weekend we'll meet at Hope on Saturday. Join us for either of these remaining events. May you feel God's presence, wherever you are. And perhaps see you in person soon.
Peace of Christ, Pastor Julie

Money is Ministry - join the finance team contact Paul T to learn more
Each fall, a team gathers to prepare Hope's budget for the following year. How we use our money as a congregation reflects what we value- perhaps in these corona days more than ever. If you are interested to be a part of this conversation, contact Hope's assistant treasurer, Paul at email@example.com. There is no pre-requisite, simply an interest in finances and ministry at Hope.
Giving to the Community through the end of September
In August Hope's Council decided to give $2000 for Langley Park Food Assistance and $2000 to the College Park Food Bank. Through September, join the church and other individuals in giving money for:
*children's school supplies *food assistance for Langley Park families *food assistance for the College Park Community Food Bank
You may write a check and put it in the mail to Hope. Or you may give online and select one of these funds in the drop down menu.
Adult Education Opportunities throughout each week
This fall, there are several new education opportunities in partnership with St Andrew's Episcopal Church. You may want to join a Sunday morning book discussion, a Wednesday evening theology conversation, or a Tuesday evening reflection with art and poetry. Skim through the calendar list below and learn more on St Andrew's website: https://saeccp.org/learn-grow/adults/
Virtual Choir between now and September 27th
