Dear Friends -

I hope May finds you well!  In between writing three new books, I'm finding some time to read, attend baseball games (Go, Nats!), and finish a few knitting projects.

Of course, I've also got some tidbits to share with you. So, without further ado...
Ingredient One: Free Books from Book View Cafe!

I'm a member of the author-run publishing co-operative Book View Cafe.  Our fifty-plus members support all aspects of indie publishing in a variety of genres, including fantasy, romance, and science fiction.

Together, we decided to offer a "spring break" of Book View Cafe reading -- a dozen free books so you can see the scope of who we are and what we do.  You can download as many as you want, in .mobi (Kindle) format or in .epub (most other e-readers) format.

The catch? This giveaway will disappear forever on Friday, May 12. So act now to get your free books! Tap or click here to start your downloads, or tap or click on the image below.

Ingredient Two:  Signed Ebooks!

Once upon a time, I loved getting signed editions of books. Now that I read almost exclusively electronically, though, it's difficult to get authors' signatures. Are you in the same boat?

Well, Authorgraph solves the problem!

You can request a personalized inscription from me to you, for any of my ebooks.  Still confused about how it works?  Just visit Authorgraph today!

Ingredient Three:  Feeling the Small Town Love

You're probably familiar with my Harmony Springs Series, about romance in a small town in the Shenandoah Valley. Over the summer, I'll be sharing a new Harmony Springs novel with you. In the meantime, though, I'm thrilled to tell you about an upcoming small-town contemporary romance by my friend, Heatherly Bell. Airman to the Rescue is part of the Fortune Valley series, and I think you'll love it.

Here's the set-up:

She's off-limits…and perfect for him!

It was supposed to be easy. Sarah Mcallister was going to flip her late father's house and head back to Colorado for a fresh start. But when her shady contractor gets arrested, taking most of her budget with him, she's at risk of losing everything. Enter Matt Conner…sexy pilot, single dad, Sarah's brother's best friend…and far too good with his hands for her peace of mind.

Moving into Sarah's spare bedroom is just asking for trouble, but Matt's trying to make amends with his troubled teen son, and a key step is finding a decent place to crash for as long as it takes. And the woman needs his help…

Sound like fun?  The book will be out June 6, but you can pre-order your copy today!

And you can learn more about Heatherly at her website.

Ingredient Four: Bookbub Announcements

Many of you are already aware of Bookbub, a free service that sends you daily emails, letting you know about discounted and free books in the specific genres you want to read.

But you may not be aware of another Bookbub service: Free announcements about discounts and sales from authors you love. If you want to know every time I run a Bookbub advertisement, offering one of my books for free or at a reduced cost, sign up here!
Ingredient Five: Let's Talk!

I love reaching out to you through this newsletter, but sometimes it gets a bit lonely, being the only one talking. To solve that problem, I set up a private group on Facebook. I check in almost every day, sharing tidbits I don't share with any other readers, anywhere. Best of all, group members can start their own conversation threads, posting their own memes, talking about favorite books, anything!

So what are you waiting for?  Join the Virtual Cocktail Party today!  Just tap or click on the refreshing mojito, or on this link here! (I have to approve all members to the group. I promise to approve your membership the very next time I'm on Facebook!)

That's our May cocktail. As always, feel free to share this newsletter with anyone who might be interested.  And don't forget to keep in touch -- on Facebook, Twitter, or email!

Best wishes --
