Dear Friends -

Happy spring, everyone! As I'm writing this, April showers are steadily soaking my lawn (and making it very easy to stay inside and work!)

On grey, rainy days like this, the only thing I want to do is curl up in a chair with a hot cup of tea and a great book to read. If you feel the same way, I've got some great deals to share with you!

Starting with...
Ingredient One: Celebrate Baseball Opening Day!

Today is Opening Day for Major League Baseball! I'm celebrating, along with a dozen other authors of baseball romances. Together, we're bringing you a "baseball dozen", thirteen baseball romances.

You can download as many as you want to read -- each one is absolutely free! My offering (as you can see from the pretty picture above) is Perfect Pitch. Tap or click on the picture or link up here for your Opening Day baseball fix. But act quickly! This amazing deal disappears forever on April 10!

And here's a baseball first! Grand Slam -- the complete Diamond Brides Series -- is now available at all ebook vendors. This super-hot boxed set contains nine complete novels -- a scorching home run for anyone who loves the Raleigh Rockets!

At $19.99 for nine novels, this is a deal you can't pass up! Buy your copy today!

Ingredient Two:  Rebel Lost in Stores Today!

Of course, baseball isn't the only game in town. Rebel Lost, the second volume in the Darkbeast Chronicles just hit stores as well.  You can read it alone, or with the first book in the series, Rebel Flight. Rebel Lost is the book that made Kirkus say: "[Klasky] conveys a richly imagined, fully developed and textured universe....[An] exciting, original, and lively fantasy adventure."

Here's what all the fuss is about, according to the back cover of the book:

Keara is running for her life. On her twelfth birthday, she was supposed to sacrifice her magical darkbeast raven on a holy altar. Instead, she spared Caw's life. Now, the priestly Inquisitors have declared her Lost—a heretic and traitor to the Primate and all twelve gods.

Desperately seeking safety, Keara and Caw travel the Great Road with two other infidels. Together they search for a rumored community of Darkers, rebellious Lost who live beyond the reach of the law.

Winter winds blow hard. Inquisitors stalk the Great Road.  Keara and her companions, near-frozen by a blizzard and close to starvation, discover an underground encampment of strangers. They’re offered food and shelter, and their darkbeasts are welcome. But are these folk truly the Darkers they claim to be? Or will they betray Keara to the authorities who want to enslave her—or worse?

Ingredient Three:  Let's Keep This Party Going!

I love reaching out to you through this newsletter, but sometimes it gets a bit lonely, being the only one talking. To solve that problem, I set up a private group on Facebook. I check in almost every day, sharing tidbits I don't share with any other readers, anywhere. Best of all, group members can start their own conversation threads, posting their own memes, talking about favorite books, anything!

So what are you waiting for?  Join the Virtual Cocktail Party today!  Just tap or click on the refreshing mojito, or on this link here! (I have to approve all members to the group. I promise to approve your membership the very next time I'm on Facebook!)

Ingredient Four: A Hint of Things to Come...

You probably know that a lot of my stories -- all of the Jane Madison and Fright Court books -- take place in and around DC.  I decided it would be fun to label them, so no one can miss the point. So, welcome to Magical Washington!

Magical Washington includes the Washington Witches Series: Girl's Guide to WitchcraftSorcery and the Single GirlMagic and the Modern GirlSingle Witch's Survival GuideJoy of Witchcraft, and Dreaming of a Witch Christmas.

There's also the Washington Vampires Series: Fright Court and Law and Murder. Those series combine in a novella, Capitol Magic.

And there's going to be an all-new series starting in September: The Washington Warders Series. The first book -- The Library, the Witch, and the Warder -- will tell you what happened in David's life while the events in Girl's Guide to Witchcraft unfolded!
Ingredient Five: A Cover Reveal

I'll keep this last "ingredient" short and sweet.

The Way You Look Tonight, a Harmony Springs novel, will be in stores in mid-June. It's the story of a chef, a firefighter, unrequited love, old fears, and new beginnings. And I think this cover pretty much sums all of that up!

What do you think? Can you take the heat in this kitchen?
That's the cocktail for this month. As always, feel free to share this newsletter with anyone who might be interested.  And don't forget to keep in touch -- on Facebook, Twitter, or email!

Best wishes --
