It's almost time!

My new book, After the End, comes out in the UK, the US, Canada and Australia on 25th June (other countries to follow). The hardback is available to pre-order now, so if you want it landing on your doorstep on publication day, below are the links you need.

If you've already ordered your copy, why not forward this email to someone you know? When New York Times bestselling author Joshilyn Jackson read After the End she said: 'Get an extra copy for a friend - you're going to need to talk about this one', and I'm not going to argue with her...

from Amazon
from Awen Meirion independent bookshop (signed, with personal message)
from Waterstones (limited edition & signed, with blue sprayed edges)
In the meantime, I've teamed up with New York Times and Sunday Times bestselling author Ruth Ware to offer advance copies of both our new books. The lucky winner will also receive a Fortnum & Mason afternoon tea hamper. Entries from the UK only, I'm afraid, but if you're in the US, keep this page bookmarked - the sweepstake opens on 18th June. To enter the UK contest, click on the hamper above.
If you'd like to hear me talk about the book, I'll be chatting live on Facebook this evening (Tuesday 4th June) at 8pm UK time. I'll be showing off the beautiful hardback (which has a couple of hidden features!) and talking about the emotional background behind the story. You'll be able to ask questions in real-time, and find out more about my writing process. Click on the image above to find my Facebook page. If you miss the event, the recording will stay on Facebook for you to watch later.
It would be lovely to meet you in person! I'll be taking the road for a tour of the UK, so there are lots of opportunities to pick up a signed book and to hear me speak about the book.

I'll be launching After the End in Bala, North Wales on Monday 24th June (click on the image above for details), then heading to the following places:

Jaffé & Neale, Chipping Norton - Thursday 27th June
Chorleywood Bookshop, Rickmansworth  - Tuesday 2nd July
Sevenoaks Bookshop, Kent - Wednesday 3rd July
Linghams, Heswall - Monday 8th July
Plackitt and Booth, Lytham St Annes - Tuesday 9th July
Books Bookshop, Oswestry - Wednesday 10th July
Griffin Books, Penarth - Thursday 11th July
Cover to Cover, Mumbles - Friday 12th July
Book-ish, Crickhowell - Friday 12th July

More events are being added all the time, and I'll write again in a couple of weeks with a confirmed schedule.
Finally, some news about this newsletter! I'll be re-launching my book club in September, with a new and improved format. I'll still keep you informed with what I'm up to, but I'll also be sharing news on other literary events, interesting book-related findings and other authors I think you'll enjoy. Think of it like a book-themed e-zine, rather than an author newsletter. I'll be picking a paperback title to recommend each month, and asking for your thoughts to feature in the following month's newsletter. There'll be a private Facebook group for those of you who want to discuss the book as we read it, and every month I'll give away a copy to a book club member at random. I'm really looking forward to chatting to you about my favourite books, and making some new discoveries.

In the meantime, please forgive the 'me me me' newsletter. After the End is very important to me. It's inspired by the hardest decision I've ever had to make, and it was both incredibly emotional and incredibly therapeutic to write. I've been thrilled by the reviews received so far, and I can't wait to hear what you think.
