“What a child doesn’t receive he can seldom later give.” (P.D. James).

"June 1st, the International Children’s Day, is a day when all of us return to the tender and pleasant moments of our innocent childhood. It’s the day when once again we try to realize that the child’s interest must be a priority for all and that all children need our attention and support daily.

We know that if a child had quality time with their parents or carers, their attention and availability, encouragement and appreciation, they will learn to feel important, valuable and special. They will know that they deserve respect and recognition. Only this way they will manage to later feel fulfilled, to find their place and role in this world.

On the occasion of the International Children’s Day, we have an appeal to you: Make time to recognise the children's needs!", Olivia Pirtac, “Justice for Children” Programme Manager, Terre des hommes Moldova
