Dear Colleagues,

On June 20 we celebrate the strength and courage of people who have been forced to flee their home country. The World Refugee Day aims to build empathy and understanding for their plight and to recognize their resilience in rebuilding their lives.

We are pleased to share with you this newsletter focusing on gender-based violence in the context of migration. Below you will find articles and recordings of webinars that could help you better understand gender and migration issues. We also encourage you to take our free online courses on how to prevent gender-based violence, trafficking and other forms of abuse and protect children and youth on the move.

As the UNHCR theme this year suggests, 'Everyone can make a difference. Every action counts!'. What action will you take?

This is the fifth special edition newsletter prepared as part of the BRIDGE regional project. The BRIDGE project is implemented under the lead of Terre des hommes Regional Office for Europe together with five partners from Belgium (Defence for Children International DCI-Belgium and FEDASIL), Greece (ARSIS), Malta (Kopin) and Romania (Tdh Romania), and has the overall objective to strengthen the statutory response to gender-based violence affecting children and youth on the move in EU countries.
