"Roma inclusion is not only a moral imperative but also smart economics, though our competitors, i.e. poverty, violence, exclusion, and discrimination, are very strong. I remember meeting the biggest Roma community in Shuto Orizari, Skopje, Macedonia in 2010. In the last 10 years, REF has shown that Roma inclusion on every level of the educational cycle is possible and better for all, as in Shuto Orizari and in other Roma communities. I believe, with effective cooperation on the ground, we will be able to deliver the kind of change that can transform the lives of the Roma pupils", Szilvia Pallaghy, Programme Officer, Roma Education Fund.
