Welcome to the first ever edition of my new quarterly newsletter. I'll be sending out sneak peeks of what I'm writing, as well as deleted scenes & extra details about my published books, book recommendations and more!

I hope you'll enjoy these behind the scenes looks at what I'm up to.
I'm very excited to announce that the UK cover of The Loneliest Girl in the Universe, my next book, is being revealed online in two weeks. I'm so in love with this cover, and I really hope you like it as much as I do!

The novel tells the story of Romy Silvers, who was born in space, and will live her whole life alone on a spaceship. Until one day a newer, faster ship launches from Earth, and she starts talking to the boy on board...

It isn't out until September, so there's still nine months to wait - but here's a tiny extract from the section I'm editing right now. Enjoy!
I can’t believe it. I actually check to make sure I’m awake, because I’m sure I’ve had this dream before.

More people. Another ship. It’s the best news I could ever imagine.

Who are they going to send? Who is coming?

I stare out of the helm window, straining my eyes against the infinite blackness, pressing my fingernails into my palms so hard that it stings. I can’t see anything except the silver pinprick stars.

How long until I’ll be able to see The Eternity?

How long until it can see me?

Favourite books of 2016

As we're approaching the end of 2016, I thought I'd share some of the best books I've read this year. I've read over 175 books, and these are the cream of the crop!

Easter eggs you might have missed in The Last Beginning

There are lots of references in my books - adding them in is one of my favourite parts of writing! Some of which are obvious, like Kate and Matt's flashbacks to past lives. Others, you might have missed, especially if you were reading fast! So here are five tiny references in The Last Beginning.
1) The Loneliest Girl in the Universe

In the epilogue, there are not one but three references. The first is to my next book, featuring Romy Silvers, my new character!

2) Celebrities

You might have spotted the second reference in the extract above! Vlogger Casey Neistat and his famous skateboards gets a mention, as does Beyonce & Kim Kardashian's famous offspring.

3) One Direction Fangirls

On the side of a webpage, there's a little clickbait advert which is a (loving!) jab at Larry fans.
4) Death and Dream from The Sandman

On the same page, I reference one of my favourite books - The Sandman series by Neil Gaiman

5) Ella's sneaky cameo in the prologue

This one is a favourite of mine. It's one of the very last things I added to the book, and I'm so glad i thought of it in time! If you're writing about time travel, you just have to embrace the tropes.

Ella also appears in The Next Together, by the way - let me know if you spot her!
I hope you enjoyed this first experiment at sending out a newsletter. I'd love to hear your feedback, either by email or on social media. I'll be back in March with my most anticipated books of 2017, more extracts of my new book, and even more exciting news!

Make sure to check online in a fortnight to see the cover reveal of The Loneliest Girl in the Universe.
