Dear Parents and Guardians,

Another year has come and gone.  The weather is delightful and summer holidays is almost within reach!  We do have a couple more weeks of school, so we urge the students to stay focused on the completion of assignments and end of course projects so they can finish the school year off strongly.

June 14, the last day of regular classes will be a non-uniform day.  There will be a celebratory BBQ for all students and the annual staff vs the grads softball game will be played at lunch.

After much thought and deliberation from the staff, we have decided to change the format of our Celebration of Excellence evening on June 26th. On this evening, we invite you to come for:

  • Dessert social at 6:30pm
  • Awards presentations at 7:00pm
  • Report Card Pickup to follow
If you are present to pick up their report card that evening, there will be no reason for your child to come to get it on Thursday, June 27th. This means that we will not be running the buses or require students to come in to school on Thursday, June 27th. If you cannot make it to the Celebration of Excellence evening, please feel free to contact the school and let us know if a sibling, cousin or neighbor will be picking the report card up for your child. It is important that we have written/email permission from the parent or guardian in order to send a report card home with someone else.

If neither of these options work for you, the office will be open for general enquires and report card pickup:
June 27: 8am-4pm
June 28 8am-2pm
July 2nd - July 5th 9am-3pm

We hope that these changes encourage everyone to come join us in celebrating the accomplishments of our students over this year, and gives you a little head start to your much deserved summer break.

Thank you for another wonderful year.  Your support and dedication to your children and SJB is evident and we are grateful.

Sincerely,
Mr. Gianni Bittante

The Marketing 11 class is running a Snack Shack during the first week of June for the twin purposes of gaining valuable business and marketing experience, while also raising funds for a long-term goal of creating a student study lounge/coffee shop in the school. We will be selling a variety of products, from candy to pizza to crispy creme donuts, and there will also be a series of events taking place at lunch such as a spicy food-eating contest, so let your children know about us and our goals, and consider giving them a few extra bucks to spend to enjoy the end of the school year!
