In continuation of prohibitions for mailing overseas the following extract was taken and reproduced from the USPS Postal Explorer. Again, foreign currencies are high on the list.
New Envelopes for the Fall DX Season
We have ordered the first of the new euro covers and euro returns. These are exactly the same as our printed euro covers and returns but lack the blue and red border and printing in the lower left corner of each. Most mail coming in from overseas uses this type of plain white cover with no printing.
These new envelopes will be security tinted (both cover and return) and will be packaged exactly the same as our current line in packs of 25 envelopes. Pricing will be the same.
This new venture is a joint venture with Bill Plum. He will handle the larger size orders while we will maintain our smaller size packaging. We hope to have these envelopes in stock right after labor day.
We will continue to sell the red and blue borders until the stock is exhausted and make the permanent switch over.
We are continuing to offer the discount postage and irc specials and will do so in the fall months.
The new rate for 20g letters. Brazil to the USA is 2.70 REAL up from 2.45 REAL. The economy rate is 1.40 REAL
