Product Upgrade

Our new KMCE 60mm and 80mm multi-cyclones were recently launched. Used mainly in pipeline gas scrubbers for removal of pipescale and liquids, these cost-effective elements can be supplied pre-welded with seal plates, or loose so that customers can install themselves. Download the brochure from our website here.

Project Deliveries

We delivered a large number of our KSME Axial Swirltube Cyclones to customers in the USA, Europe, China and Russia in the last quarter; also many KVME vane mist eliminators and KVID vane inlet diffusers; take a look at the details below.

Current orders for separator internals are for use in end destinations including Egypt, India, Kazakhstan, Mexico, Nigeria and Qatar!

Axial cyclones from KIRK Process are frequently used as a pre-treatment stage for the removal of large quantities of liquids in gas filter-separators.  Benefits include their high capacity, meaning that a significant vessel diameter reduction is achievable, and their low fouling nature, meaning that they can handle a higher solids load than alternative demisters.
Known also as swirltubes, they are effective at higher pressures when vane pack efficiency reduces.
Our KVME vane mist eliminators are supplied for vertical (upflow) of gas as well as for horizontal flow. Both rectangular and circular packs are manufactured, to suit the installation space.
Correctly designed, vane packs are particularly suited to high liquid loads and offer good performance over a wide flow range at low to medium pressures.
Plain, hooked and pocketed vanes are used for different applications.
This KVID multi-vane inlet diffuser is to be installed on a 3m diameter, vertical separator fitted with axial cyclones as the mist elimination stage.  The diffuser is a bulk liquid removal stage and ensures even gas flow across the face of the demister.

Latest SEP-Calc Software...

We recently updated our spreadsheet module ME-Calc for mist eliminator design and incorporated within it the basic 2 phase vertical and horizontal separator design sheets.  This allows the designer to experiment with alternate dimensions and internals to optimise the overall equipment size and cost.  For for information about our separator design software click this link.
