Now is the perfect time to strategize and Jump-Start your business for 2022.
Kim Beckett, Secretary of the Board, opened our November Chapter meeting with Chuck Gallagher, CSP. He shared a multitude of ways to jump-start our business in 2022. He is creative, insightful, and captivating in person and equally so virtually. He helped see how to turn concepts into actions and actions into results. I am sure those who heard him speak discovered new and time-proven methods to enhance your personal and professional performance. Thank you, Kim, for a stellar performance leading our Chapter this month!
I begin strategizing for the upcoming year about this time every year. The structure of my business, as with many other speakers, has changed. I find myself preparing more customized virtual programs that now seem to be the norm instead of the few and far between. The content may be similar, but the flow and overarching goals are usually quite different. As speakers, we strive to be our ultimate best every time we are "on stage," regardless of literally on stage or in front of a camera. How do we accomplish this? To strive for perfection is to be hungry for fresh, new content and continue to refine our delivery methods.
Alexander Gregg once said: "There are three things to aim at in public speaking: first, to get into your subject, then to get your subject into yourself, and lastly, to get your subject into the heart of your audience."
We learned from Keith Harmeyer how to get into our subject by helping us think about our business with more precision. Bruce Turkel, CSP, CPAE, and Bob Frare, CSP inspired us to immerse ourselves in our topic by creating visual tools that convey our expertise. Finally, Chuck Gallagher, CSP, encouraged us to tap into the hearts of others through the refined art of professional speaking with an intended purpose.
Please share with us on Facebook how you plan to take action for 2022 using our NSA leaders' training, advice, and inspiration.
Join us on January 8, 2022, for our next FSA Chapter Meeting with Bob Burg and Rick Goodman!
