Facilities Planning is made up of architects and engineers who have been called of God to use their professions to develop project designs for ministry in the United States and around the world.

We currently have projects in 13 states and 4 countries.

One mission organization, The Master’s Vineyard Ministry, has multiple locations throughout Central Africa. We are privileged to have five new projects with them.

Karamonja Trinity University

Moroto, Uganda

TECH will provide schematic design and design development services for the new university to be located on a portion of their 1,000 acre site previously planned by TECH. Our services will include architectural and structural, civil engineering, proposed infrastructure, and landscape design.

Chapel and Community Center Complex

Malawi and South Sudan

The facility will seat 3,500. It will also include a multi-purpose hall, classrooms, and office space that will cover about 50 acres.

Grace Christian Academy

Kopoeta, South Sudan, Africa

TECH will provide schematic design and design development phase services. The site presently has some existing education facilities. The existing buildings and site have been transferred to The Master’s Vineyard Ministry by the government. New additional facilities are required. Final campus design is to serve 1,540 students in grades K-12. Government participation will be certification of teachers, classroom furniture, energy, water, and security.

Grace Preparatory Academy

Kalumbu, Malawi, Africa

This site presently has no existing education facilities. The survey was completed in March 2016 and is approximately 20.46 acres in size. Grace Preparatory Academy will serve 3,500 students K-12 –– fifty percent boys and fifty percent girls –– all boarded on site. TECH will provide a written program along with architectural, structural, engineering, and landscape design.

Orphanage / Kindergarten Care Center

Kalumbu, Malawi, Africa

This site was surveyed in March 2016 and is approximately 1.9 acres in size. This facility is in the same general area as the Grace Preparatory Academy. The center will serve 100 to 200 students 10 years old and under.

Here is an excerpt from The Master’s Vineyard Ministry December 2015 Annual Board Meeting: “Considering that life expectancy in this region is 41 and most children die before the age of 5, the remnant always have to fight to survive war, disease, and starvation. A few children have the privilege of going to school. Since those few spend 25 years, half of their life time trying to better themselves, sharing the Gospel at each level is critical. The illiteracy for the entire country is at 52%. For this region, children only make it to the 7th grade. This ministry is to bring hope to this generation where life is not celebrated the way God intended. We are establishing a Christian environment that promotes and celebrates life.”

Another update from

The Master’s Vineyard Ministry

“The key focus for 2015 was building great partnerships throughout East Africa centered on sharing the gospel. We continued to share the news of Christ both through door-to-door evangelism and church events. 3,265 people made the decision to follow Christ this year, and we rejoice with our new brothers and sisters. Several church plants were established, and nine new pastors were ordained. We give thanks to God for all of the amazing work he is doing.”

It is a delight to come alongside The Master’s Vineyard Ministry and provide the technical support they desperately need to accomplish their mission.

We often say TECH exists to help churches and mission organizations accelerate their vision. We sense the urgency to take advantage of open doors for the Gospel as organizations have opportunities to reach people for Christ.

We are grateful our Facilities Planning project load is full. We desire to make the most of our days as we have opportunity.  “The fields are (still) white unto harvest”. Our prayer is that God would provide more workers. We are able to utilize technology to host projects in our Longview facility while other volunteer professionals provide assistance from their homes to help complete projects. There is ongoing need for equipment. We are seeking to purchase a scanner/plotter which is approximtely $8,000. This piece of equipment will be a terrific asset and will provide more efficient communication with those working remotely from the Longview office. In turn, it will accelerate the vision of ministries to reach people for Christ. If the Lord would direct you to invest in the ministry of TECH through Facility Planning equipment, we would be delighted to give you more information.

What a blessing God continues to show His favor upon TECH. Understanding we have a part in people’s lives being changed for eternity is a tremendous reward and encourages us “to know Him and make Him known”.

Thank you for your partnership and support of Missionary TECH Team. Please pray with us that we will be good stewards of what has been entrusted to us and that God’s grace would abound in our lives as we serve Him.

The catalyst for founding Missionary TECH Team was what we have called from the beginning – Facilities Planning Services. I graduated from LeTourneau in Industrial Engineering and Building Construction and Design.   This, coupled with a wealth of personal interaction with numerous missionaries and mission leaders, indelibly focused my desire to meet the need for technical services to enhance fulfillment of discipleship and evangelism.

Experience in a variety of responsibilities and organizations helped prepare me for formulating such a service ministry. God providentially brought into my life David Carnahan. We served in Alaskan missions. Together we fleshed out the organizational structure and modus operandi and opened for ministry in March 1969.

Truths given in Proverbs 24:3,4 (Living Bible Paraphrase) have been a guiding light not only in our Facilities Planning department but also throughout the five areas of current ministry. “Any enterprise (individual, organization) is built by 1. wise planning, 2. becomes strong through common sense; and 3. profits wonderfully by keeping abreast of the facts.”

How do I, how do you, measure up to these high standards? We rejoice in the privilege of serving and trust you, too, are having that same experience as you walk with our dear Savior!
