This is a terrific time of the year for Missionary TECH Team as we reflect back and as we look forward!
Many times in the Old Testament we see the word remember. God wants His children to remember how He led them and showed Himself strong on their behalf. Remembering will increase our trust in God as we move forward.
We began 2017 with creating new power-point presentations and printed literature to show how God blessed our efforts in 2016. It is exciting to share that we experienced an increase in projects in each service area. We served in 37 states and 48 countries! There were 476 projects with 275 organizations! The BEST NEWS is hearing about all the people who trusted Christ as their personal Savior! One of our clients, The Master’s Vineyard in Uganda, reports – “All students heard the gospel and 194 are new believers! Because of your partnership, we began the school year with 1,540 students and ended the year with 1,240. Nearly 300 students and their families moved to a refugee camp in Kenya during the resurgence of civil conflict in the region.” We often get wrapped up in the detail of a project and forget that the folks we serve are living out their faith in high-risk regions of the world.
Philippians 3:14 says, “...I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” It is fascinating how we find ourselves pressing on, looking for the next thing, trying to improve our services, and striving to discern the plans of the Lord.
The workload in FACILITIES PLANNING is extremely full. One of our associate staff men, Lowell Jenson, will be in Ghana for four months to help coordinate a large project. Patrick Schnell and Bill Daniel plan to spend two weeks in Africa to gather additional information for upcoming projects. We praise the Lord that Eric and Katie Livingston have 55% of their financial support promised. We look forward to having them join us very soon to help with this workload.
VEHICLE LEASING has increased the number of vehicles in our fleet which enables us to serve more missionaries.
COMPUTER SERVICES project requests are steady. We continue to seek more manpower and discernment in how to meet the project demands.
Our goal In GRAPHIC SERVICES is to find ways to be relevant to the organizations we serve and to help them be more efficient in communicating about their ministries.
We have had an increase of inquiries for MINISTRY DEVELOPMENT regarding financial coaching for capital fund campaigns. We are diligently working to finalize the video series and workbook from the Fund Development Symposium we hosted in the fall of 2015. We anticipate having that product available this year.
Our Annual Board meeting will be held on March 23 & 24. We are encouraged with the men God has assembled to serve in this way. We are in the midst of some board transition and are inviting two new people to come and consider serving with us in this capacity. We covet your prayers as these men give direction for the days ahead. We are living in interesting days for ministry, and we need people to serve on our board who are passionate about hearing the voice of God in making decisions.
In Acts 21:19-20 the Apostle Paul gives a report to James and the elders: After greeting them, he related one by one the things that God had done among the Gentiles through his ministry. “And when they heard it, they glorified God. And they said to him ‘You see brother, how many thousands there are among the Jews of those who have believed’”.
Our desire is that your natural response would be to give glory to our Great God as you learn about what He has done in the ministry of Missionary TECH Team. We strive to serve in a way that all would see our good works and give glory to God.
We certainly cannot do this alone! We rely on your faithful prayers and are encouraged when you invest financially in our ministry.
To God be the Glory!
