Meeting funder priorities in Kenya and Ethiopia
Dear reader,

Three research groups for the programme ‘
New roles of civil society organizations (CSOs) for inclusive development’, commissioned by NWO-WOTRO, have submitted new blogs. Read more on their on-the-ground experiences in Kenya and Ethiopia and the challenges for grassroots movements advocating for land rights, dealing with donor rules and the aid chain, and meeting funder priorities. Also consult our knowledge base, where new policy highlights concerning CSOs and their changing environment have been added.
From 2–4 April, INCLUDE knowledge manager Frank van Kesteren participated in the Transfer Project 2019 workshop 'Social Protection, Cash Transfers and Long-Term Poverty Reduction' in Arusha. Frank shared his knowledge and insights on what works in social protection in Africa, based on his work for the platform and as discussed during the 2018 EPRC and INCLUDE conference ‘Social protection and inclusive growth in Africa’. Read our conference report and take a look at Frank’s poster presentation on improving cost-effectiveness of social protection.

Kind regards,

INCLUDE Secretariat
