Alternatives to Suicide is a free, non-judgmental, non-clinical, peer-led, and confidential drop-in space where people can share difficult thoughts and feelings without being assumed to have an illness or be assessed for involuntary intervention.

The phrase, “I feel suicidal” can hold many meanings. Having the space to openly explore the thoughts, feelings, and experiences underneath is often helpful in moving towards something different.

Facilitated by people with lived experience, these groups are not just for people who are actively suicidal, but for anyone who has experienced suicidality at some point in their life and would benefit from a non-judgmental space to explore their thoughts and emotions with a group.

What's Happening in our Community

Yarrow Collective and The BIPOC Alliance present to all of you a new peer support group for BIPOC members called Unity in Community. We are offering a sacred space for quiet, reflection, connection, and permission to be, when we find ourselves no longer wanting to continue on, having or had thoughts of suicide or feeling disconnected.

This group is going to be held by a collective of trained facilitators of diverse lineages and lived experience. Facilitators will hold space for those needing connection and community in English every other Tuesday starting July 19th, and on the following dates August 2nd, August 16th, and August 30th.

We offer this sacred space for quiet, reflection, connection, and permission to be. Find more information in bit.ly/BIPOCUnityInCommunity or at https://www.yarrowcollective.org/
