Mr Harrison's blog
Another term draws to a close and it has done so in fitting fashion for Weston Green with the truly splendid Key Stage 1 show ‘Kids’ being the centre-piece. What a show it was! As stunning in its variety as its high-quality performance, it was thoroughly entertaining, celebrating the role of children in West End shows so superbly. I am sure all of you will join with me in saying a huge ‘well done’ to the children and to Ms Griffin whose own genius and passion for the performing arts shone through so strongly in the children’s obvious enjoyment, confidence and masterly presentation.
Mr Harrison, Headteacher

A spring round-up |
As term finishes, the children (and staff) love to look back on all the wonderful things they have done this term. This delightful slideshow (to the soundtrack of our House Music songs) is a superb reminder of all the joyful learning which has taken place this term. |

What a show! |
We’ve had a fantastic week in Key Stage 1. The children in years 1 & 2 blew us away with their excellent talent and individual performances in their end of term show. ‘Kids – a celebration of children in musical theatre’ proved to be a toe- tapping, uplifting successful production. |

Last week Mrs Hawkins was invited to take along mathematicians to a challenge morning at Epsom College. It wasn't easy to pick the team - year 5 are all great mathematicians, but in the end the intrepid four - Sam, Thomas, Amelie and Saisha - set off for Epsom. Once there they quickly chose their team t-shirts and got on with some tough warm-up exercises.

Red Nose Day
Red Nose Day is always an eagerly anticipated event at Weston Green School, never more so than this year with the excitement of finding the rare red nose and being lucky enough to have Hampton and Richmond Borough Football Club in to lead sessions with all of the children. |

Sensational swimming gala rounds off the term |

As the end of term approached, the usual routine of school life was disturbed by what is one of the most entertaining fixtures in the school calendar – the Inter-house swimming gala. In previous years, this competition has been the final competition which has separated the winners of the Harvey Cup, and given a morale boost to those who need it most. Which house would be victorious?
