Mr Harrison's blog
The spring term begins with the flurry and strains of the 11+ exams for Y6, moves into the routine and rhythm of term and then finishes with a flood of musical, dramatic and sporting activity. This last week or so has witnessed trips out, Open Morning, the Weston Green u11 girls hockey tournament and the ISA mixed hockey at Crystal Palace, a Music Festival for Y2, the Y2 football festival and a concert! Yet there is still more to come: the House hockey, the swimming gala, the KS1 performance and, of course, the Easter Egg Hunt! It is all part of the magic and value of our school, enabling the children can take on so much, doing it all in such accomplished fashion and deriving such obvious benefit from it.
Mr Harrison, Headteacher

A spring day at glorious Painshill |
On Monday 14th March 3W and 3M went to Painshill Park for the day. We felt blessed as not only did the sun shine all day but we also had the park virtually to ourselves. The morning was spent orienteering in groups which involved marking co-ordinates on a map and using compasses.

Year 5 on the river bank |
On a lovely Monday afternoon, Year 5 had the chance to walk to the banks of the River Mole and Ember. This was a great opportunity to look at how a river meanders, deposits and travels before it joins the wealth of the Thames.

Superfood Superheroes take on the evil Miss Waste |

One of our regular topics of conversation in our Food Committee meetings is ‘food waste’. Our lovely chefs, Matt and Stefan, work very hard in the kitchen preparing delicious foods for us, but unfortunately not all of it is eaten. We are getting better and better at reducing our waste, thanks to the help of Captain Wasteless (houses earn stickers and house points if they have the least waste each week) but we want to do more.
