'The architectural intervention is humble and simple, the edges of the concrete benches are soft-polished to the touch, the undersides are rough and rugged.
This Partnership is terribly proud of the end result. At night the square and the sculpture light up and during the day there’s a small urban park as a place to pause for those that live in or love Cape Town'. - Mark Thomas
Mark Thomas is the recipient of 2 awards so far this year.
Design Indaba - Most Beautiful Object 2015 for The Boomslang at Kirstenbosch.
Mark also won a Silver Loerie for The Boomslang at Kirstenbosch.
We wish Mark all the best for his BASA Finalist nomination, and are extremely proud of the fact that he chose to be involved in this project in Cape Town.
