First Leeds invites customer feedback on NW Leeds Bus services


This week First Leeds are commencing a review of our bus services in the North West of Leeds to improve journeys for customers and attract more people onto public transport. As part of the review First Leeds are asking both customers and people in the local community throughout March to give us their views so we can use the feedback to introduce better bus services.


First Leeds are inviting customers to complete an online survey or to attend local consultation events to have their say on what changes they would like to see implemented in the area covering the 1, 6, 19, 19A, 28, 29, 56, 97 and X84 bus routes.


First Leeds recognise that the reliability and punctuality of our services in this area needs to be improved due to the increasing impact of road congestion, particularly through Headingley. In order to improve services they may be required to change the routes or frequencies of some of these services and they are therefore encouraging people to give us their views to influence any changes made.


The customer consultation will run from this week until 2nd April, with local drop-in events including Headingley, Horsforth, Holt Park and Guiseley attended by representatives from First Leeds and West Yorkshire Combined Authority.


Following the drop-in events First Leeds will consult again on draft proposal improvements before introducing the changes in September 2017.


The consultation will be promoted on bus, through the media, on social media and at the local venues. Please do forward these details onto any local contact you feel would be interested in participating.
