Presence This Week:

Collaboration for Co-Liberation

Until next week!Dear Steve,

Collaboration. Presence's premise has always been that if we're living in a universe where God's great prophetic promises for restoration and reconciliation are fulfilled, the future is wide-open. Collaborative rather than deterministic. We're empowered to co-create with Spirit, bringing forth something greater than the sum of our parts. We find that in collaboration, we are co-liberated to new depths of empathy and creativity.

This spirit of cooperation and joy of discovery was on full display this past weekend at Presence's new offices in Georgia. We got together with fellow members of Forum 21, a UN non-governmental organization (NGO) devoted to discovering and expressing the spirituality of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, and our new friends Holly Roach and Steve Knight, of the TransFORM community development network.

Meals were eaten, ideas were shared, campfires were gathered around, and plans were made - for serving our environment; for serving our most vulnerable friends, neighbors, and family; for serving the continued growth and development in the recognition of God as the All-in-all, not merely the All-in-some - and what a difference this outlook makes.

It's with this in mind that we bring you to this week's Presence online!

In Elements of Fulfillment: Priesthood, Max King looks at how priesthood has shifted from being a divine-human mediation reserved for religious specialists to function that Christ fulfilled and put in the hands of all of us.

In Doug King and Kurt Johnson: Shared Heart, Shared Legacy, Doug King continues his conversation with scientist and teacher Kurt Johnson , this time touching on what unfolds when we recognize the collaborative nature of working with Spirit and shared humanity.

In The Coming of God: Like Father, Like Son, Harvard and Princeton scholar Riley O’Brien Powell continues her exploration of eschatology, showing us how 'heaven and earth' realities describe shared spiritual/social worlds full of meaning - and why the shift to a new perceptual world is what biblical prophecy is all about.

Truly, we are living in a new day: When more and more people are waking up to our God-given capacities for collaboration - for the practical liberation of our hearts and worlds as we learn from each other.

Yours in growth,

PS: The Return to the Heart of Christ Consciousness gathering is just a few weeks away: March 27 - 30 in Boulder, Colorado!
