10AM IN PERSON WORSHIP &
ONLINE WORSHIP

Join us on Sunday mornings either in-person or on Facebook  www.facebook.com/newportcov where you can view our live-streamed service at home.

EMBODY: to be an expression of or give an observable form
to an idea, quality, or belief.

The simple way of Jesus is not meant to be admired from a distance. It is profoundly participatory! Yes, the yoke is easy and the burden light but apprenticing with Jesus does not happen by accident; it calls for wholehearted intention.

"Therefore, with minds that are alert and fully sober, set your hope on the grace to be brought to you when Jesus Christ is revealed at his coming. As obedient children, do not conform to the evil desires you had when you lived in ignorance. But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written: 'Be holy, because I am holy.'"
1 Peter 1:13-15

Children’s Ministry Children, join us each Sunday with your families online for a special blessing and message just for you during the service. In-person Sunday School is available for all ages below 5th grade in which we ask that you check in your child at the KidSpace station when you first arrive. Children under the age of 3 can spend their time of the service in Classroom 100. Children over the age of 3 to 5th grade can join the adults for communal worship and will be invited to continue their time in Fellowship Hall for Sunday School. If you have any questions about Children’s Ministry, please contact Amanda Moffat.

Come join us, either in-person or online. There are 2 meeting options to choose from:
*In-person morning group 9:30-11:00am (Meet in library with masks on.)
OR

Gratitude and Celebrations

Baptisms ~ On Sunday, August 22nd, we celebrated the Baptisms of  Olaoluwakitan Joshua Gbeminiyi, Emerson Shelby, and
Angela Qu. It was exciting to be together to witness this important step in their faith journey.

Gratitude for Nathan Tjelle working as our summer receptionist. He did a great job for all of us here at Newport and we wish him well in his sophomore year  of studies at Whitworth.

We are grateful to Natalie Werner for her assistance and contributions to worship this past year. Natalie has begun her new position as Choral Scholar at St Edmundsbury Cathedral and Musician in Residence at County Upper School. Natalie will spend about half of her week with the Cathedral helping to organize daily services, singing in the choirs, and doing a little conducting. The other half of the week will be with a local high school, where she will be conducting and running rehearsals with a few choirs, giving some private lessons, and helping with music classes. Natalie says, "I'm so grateful for the experience I've had with Newport, both throughout this past year and during the summer of 2018, to help me feel more comfortable diving into this role!"
Congratulations Natalie, we are grateful for you!

Senior Quilts 2022
Each year, Newport loves to bless our graduating Seniors with a quilt from our wonderful Newport Quilters. In preparation for their graduation, we would love to give them a list of our seniors who will be graduating in 2022. Please email Amanda Moffat by Sunday, September 12th with your senior’s name and school they are graduating from. We look forward to celebrating them all next spring!
