Join us on February 24th as we announce the release of our 2022 THRIVE TOP 50 AgTech and FoodTech Reports.  This year’s report highlights the leading AgTech and FoodTech companies across sixteen industry categories and is the culmination of six-months rigorous research and analysis by the SVG Ventures team with input from SVG Ventures corporate partners.  The selection methodology for this year's report focuses on funding acceleration in addition to leadership team, technology and traction as well as having diverse representation across categories.  Register here.

NEW HIRES
We are delighted to welcome Alycia Smith to the THRIVE team.  Alycia joins us as Marketing and Events Manager responsible for managing all aspects of digital marketing, social media, design, copy writing, PR, coordination, and communication for THRIVE’s events and programs

Alycia has over 10 years experience building brands, storytelling, and growing sales across a variety of sectors. Prior to joining THRIVE, Alycia worked at the Calgary Chamber of Commerce as Director of Marketing and Memberships, supporting businesses, connecting leaders and politicians, and creating a more competitive business environment.

Alycia has a Bachelors Degree from Camosun College and lives in Calgary, Canada, with her husband and dog, Hank the labradoodle.

Re-Nuble (THRIVE IV) have partnered on a pilot vertical farm with the city of Glens Falls, NY, National Grid, Fluence, PIPP, and others focused on democratizing urban agriculture in non-urban areas throughout New York.  Learn more here.
Serket (THRIVE VII) recently published  "Livestock Monitoring with Transformer" from the Serket team Rajat Mani Thomas, Dániel László, Devanshu Arya, and collaborators.  Read the article.

The research was presented during one of the major international conferences on computer vision, The 32nd British Machine Vision Conference.

Through this innovative computer vision and deep learning technique, Serket is building its technology for pig producers, and other species to support the agriculture and livestock ecosystem in the future.

Together with the European Space Agency, in december 2021 EZ Lab finished the implementation of SmartAgriSat, a platform able to cover multiple functionalities. It has been developed to provide a full automated blockchain platform in which satellite images, among other data, are used as an input to provide very punctual data, to be used by Decision Supporting Systems.
EZ Lab provides trusted data for the digital economy by helping agrifood companies implement the Blockchain technology, to support the creation of a direct engagement between farmers and consumers.
2022 starts well for EZ Lab: the project AgroTrust is among the 15 finalists selected for 9 months of research and innovation with FIWARE&i4trust.
The project aims to encourage the well-being and sustainability of the eco system through the development of cross domain hi-tech solutions. Find out more
AGTECH ECOSYSTEM
Trimble Agriculture is committed to making farmers’ lives easier with precision ag. This month, Trimble will launch Virtual Farm, an interactive digital farm experience that features over 30 animated videos to showcase precision ag solutions to common challenges found in farms across the globe. This is a wonderful opportunity for farmers and anyone interested in agriculture to discover the power of precision farming.
