Hop on Board

Enjoy the stage adaptation of Jim Henson’s PBS series, “Dinosaur Train,” from January 9-10 at the Lone Tree Arts Center. This lively performance will entertain and educate, encouraging children to develop scientifically cognitive skills through song and dance. The interactive experience includes topics such as life science, natural history and paleontology. Visit here for more information.

A Pairing Party

Beat the January blues with a private party at the Robusto Room. Through the end of this month, the leading cigar and scotch lounge in Colorado is offering intimate get-togethers that include scotch and cigar tastings, with 10 percent of every party’s proceeds donated to the host’s charity of choice. During the experience, owner Peter Roth will educate guests about the Single Malt Scotch industry. There are various packages, including private 2-hour customized cigar and whiskey pairings, but all are decadently satisfying. Click here for more information.

Snow Season in Yellowstone

Founded in 1912, the Colorado Mountain Club has made adventure its mission for a long time. The club began with 25 members, but quickly grew as word spread. From January 21-26, CMC will host a trip to Yellowstone National Park to experience this unique location in its rawest form, without the distraction of summer visitors. Participants can explore Yellowstone through various winter activities, such as snowshoeing and cross-country skiing. Click here to learn more.

Fight for Your Health

No adventure is complete without proper nourishment. Health Warrior chia bars are delicious and provide quick energy on the slopes or trails. The concept of these bars stems from the book, Born to Run, which mentions a Mexican tribe who would run more than 100 miles for enjoyment and maintain energy by consuming chia seeds. Inspired by this tale, the founders of Health Warrior developed a product that is readily available for any adventure junkie in need of a boost. The bars are gluten-, diary- and soy-free, as well as vegan. They contain 1,000 mg of Omega-3 and plenty of antioxidants. Click here for more info.
