This module is intended for use by individuals or organizations who wish to be introduced to basic fall protection principles and develop an understanding of fall protection terminology. This module is a comprehensive review for those familiar with fall protection or as an introduction to fall protection for others. Upon successful completion of the test, a certificate of completion is issued and 0.1 CEU is awarded.

3M to Buy Scott Safety for $2 Billion: Firm would be the largest personal protection equipment maker in U.S.
3M Co. has agreed to acquire Scott Safety from Johnson Controls for $2 billion, making it their second largest acquisition, and will greatly expand its worker safety product offerings, especially in breathing and gas detection devices. In its largest deal to date, 3M bought Capital Safety for $2.5 billion 19 months ago to gain a huge presence in the fall protection and worker-harness arena. Read more here.
Fatal accident at Kilgallioch
Police, HSE investigating following death of
37-year-old contractor
A 37-year-old Gamesa contractor has died following an accident during construction at ScottishPower's 239MW Kilgallioch wind farm in southwest Scotland. Police Scotland was called to the project site near Barrhill at 18.45 on Wednesday, 15 March. Emergency services also attended but the man was pronounced dead at the scene. It is understood the contractor fell inside a turbine tower. Read more here.
