When crew members of Dynamic South, Inc. were working on a 350-foot self-supporting SBA Communications tower site providing upgrade services for AT&T at about the 190-foot level, the Allegiance crane, according to police, collapsed, narrowly missing workers. It is not known whether techs were on the structure at the time when the crane overturned.

Tower Tech Dies After Falling From a 160-foot Oklahoma Monopole
Steven Lamar Hill, a 44-year old tower technician from Chandler, OK, died after falling from a 160-foot tall monopole on Nov 2, 2016. It is not yet clear what caused Hill to fall. The employer, Mann's Tower Services, while having been cited for serious violations, has never been cited for improper training or improper use of fall protection equipment.
