The NCCIA Board of Directors conducted it’s Annual Meeting during the conference. Notable action included election of Anne Marie Towle and Morgan Weatherly to the association’s Board. Ms. Towle is Executive Vice President and Captive Consulting Practice Leader with JLTIM. Anne Marie was previously Senior Captive Consultant, Senior Vice President for Willis Towers Watson. A Captive Review Power 50 from 2016 through 2018, she also served Fortune 500 insurance companies as a manager of tax with KPMG and E&Y. Anne Marie serves on the Board of Directors for the Vermont Captive Insurance Association (VCIA) and the International Center for Captive Insurance Education (ICCIE). She is on the curriculum committee and is an instructor for ICCIE, and she has served on the conference committees of the (2017 Chair) VCIA, Captive Insurance Companies Association (CICA), World Captive Forum (WCF) and the South Carolina Captive Insurance Association (SCCIA). Anne Marie is a frequent speaker and presenter at industry conferences and has presented at all four NCCIA conferences.
Based in Charlotte, NC, Morgan Weatherly is a NC Certified Public Accountant who began with Atlas Insurance Management in 2016 as an Account Manager. Morgan’s responsibilities include overseeing a team of staff that manages a diverse portfolio of captive insurance companies. Morgan began her career in accounting with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in the audit function. During her time with PwC, Morgan managed a team of associates while working with a variety of clients ranging in size and industry and operating under both GAAP and IFRS standards. She interfaced with managers, directors, and partners in the firm to work through urgent client needs and strategize internal process improvements.
