2023 Conference Sponsorship and Exhibits Update

The 2023 NCCIA Conference will be held in Asheville, NC. And while the event is over seven months away, advance commitments for sponsorships and exhibits are brisk. The Conference Planning Committee, Chaired for 2023 by Susan Euteneuer, has issued a CALL FOR PROPOSALS for the NCCIA Conference Educational Program. The theme for the 2023 Conference is Elevate. The theme celebrates the new location of the conference, Asheville and the increasing importance and prominence of North Carolina as a premier domicile. Those individuals or groups who would like to submit proposals for panel presentations should submit a proposal for consideration by the committee not later than October 25 via this page.

Panels should consist of three individuals representing different companies. The Committee is in particular looking for panels that contain captive owners or their employees. Topics that will be given special consideration include:
  • Drug and Alcohol Programs
  • Parametrics
  • Risk Management, Policy Development, Loss Control
  • Covid Related Topics
  • Tax Developments
  • Cyber Security Issues
  • Director & Officers and Other Hard Market Challenges
  • Recession Related Developments
  • Evolution of ESG
  • Best Practices in Claims Handling
  • The Rise of Protected Cell Captives
  • Pros and Cons of RRG’s
Preparers of accepted RFPs will be notified the week of November 7th. RFPs become the property of NCCIA upon submission to the committee. Ms. Euteneuer told The NEWSLETTER that the committee is going to elevate the conference networking and social functions. “Asheville, presents a number of unique activities for conference attendees to enjoy, including three restaurants headed by James Beard Award Winning Chefs. It’s a foodie’s paradise. Hold those dates now and plan to attend.”

The association’s Board of Directors will meet Monday, October 3rd in Asheville at the Renaissance Marriott Hotel, site of the 2023 NCCIA Annual Conference. Board Chair Diana Hardy told the Newsletter that “The Annual Conference, potential legislation for consideration during the 2023 General Assembly, among other items will be on the agenda.” The Newsletter will report on those activities in the October edition.
