Planning Update  Where are we on CNI planning?  To plan, first you need to know the start point.  We're finishing the first phase which required gathering and assessing a great deal of information about the grant area.  How did we do this?  Through a comprehensive resident needs assessment, neighborhood survey, demographics, mapping of services, and conducting market analyses.  To see a detailed description of the planning process, click here
CNI Planning Meetings   What's next?  What will we do with this information?  Want to get involved in the planning process?  Plan to attend one or both meetings next week to discuss the existing conditions assessment and the way ahead.  Our planners from EJP Consulting Group and Goody Clancy will be here to assist in the presentations.  Both meetings are open to the public:
  •  Residents Meeting  – Wed. Jan. 14, 6-8 pm at Trent Court auditorium.  Detailed discussion of the resident survey effort, availability of local services, and how residents can get involved in CNI planning.
  •  Stakeholders Meeting  – Thur. Jan. 15, 1-3 pm at Trent Court auditorium.  Review existing conditions, identify task force and focus group areas, and map out  future planning.
Partnering in Action   Thanks to the generosity of local businesses, we were able to offer an iPad, store gift cards, and other great incentives to residents during our surveying effort.  Click here to check out the photos as we thank Keller Williams Realty, Craven Community College, Marc Jessup Insurance, Carolina East Medical Center, Neuse River CDC, Belk, Chad Sittig (State Farm Insurance), Thea's Ideas, United Way and Waste Industries for their generous support.
