Volunteers Needed

Oregon Green Schools Summit
Master Recyclers are needed to help direct students between sessions, set up tables, clean up, register schools, etc. at the 20th Annual Oregon Green Schools Summit which will be from 8:00 - 3:00 on Friday, April 1st. Volunteers are needed for morning and early afternoon shifts on Fri., 4/1 as well as to help set up the afternoon of Thur., 3/31. If you are available to help, please contact Bailey.

Saturday, March 12th, 2016, Historic Elsinore Theatre

Peruse the silent auction items in the foyer before the awards ceremony and enter to win a raffle. There will also be a no host bar. Prizes will be awarded for the best “green carpet” attire.

Reserve seating tickets are $17 per person and can be purchased by visiting the Historic Elsinore Theatre box office, calling 503-375-3574 (service charge added), or purchase online (service charge added).​​

Earth Day Poster Contest

We had lots of beautiful entries for the 2016 Earth Day Poster Contest, "Clean Water, Clear Skies" . So many, that we need your help to decide the grand winner. Head on over to facebook to cast your vote by liking your favorite design. The design with the highest number of likes by Feb. 10th at 3pm, will be chosen for the Grand Prize and will receive $100, plus, their artwork will be used for the Earth Day Poster. The teacher of the student who wins the Grand Prize will receive a $100 gift card for classroom use.

Marion County Loses a Friend of Recycling

June 21, 1949 - January 15, 2016

It is with great sadness that we learned Terry Hubbard recently passed away. Terry was in the most recent class (#30) which was in the fall of 2015. Terry was a life-long recycler and loved the natural world. She will be greatly missed by all that were fortunate enough to know her.
