NLC Maryland to Host City Wide Voter Registration Drive

Baltimore City

Saturday May 9th, 10am - 4pm

There is little doubt that the events of the last ten days in Baltimore city have struck a chord with each of us. I can't begin to assume the unique thoughts each of us have regarding the events. The initial incident, the passing of Freddie Gray, the protests, the riots, the peacemaking, the clean up, the donations, the volunteering to the peaceful rallies and the subsequent indictments.

For our friends in Charm City it has been a rollercoaster of emotions. Walking the streets of Pennsylvania and North Avenue I witnessed the surreal aftermath of what can only be described as hurt and frustration. A quote that has been floating around lately comes from Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., "A riot is the language of the unheard."

Most of my life's work has focused on assisting the "unheard" and time and time again it boils down to a silver bullet: the vote.
NLC Maryland is determined to help Baltimore rebuild.

Saturday May 9th, NLC Maryland will host a city wide voter registration drive. We have secured two employees of the Baltimore City Board of Elections to certify registrants but the ONLY way this is a success is with YOUR help.

We need you to do two easy things:
1. Please click this link and fill out the form.
2. Share this email widely.

We are looking to show the country that Baltimore is back up and running and the best "next step" is to ensure everyone has an opportunity to exercise a right that so many have bled and died for, the right to vote. Join us Saturday to register Baltimore as we continue to rebuild.
