Memorial Day Weekend!

Memorial Day Weekend has long been a special time in De Pere for friends, families, our citizens (present and former) and guests from other communities to have fun, enjoy entertainment and experience the great things our City has to offer.

We wish you a fun-filled, safe weekend – and also encourage you to keep in mind the brave men and women of the U.S. Military who died in service while protecting our freedom.

From a city traffic front, please make special note that the Kiwanis Club of De Pere’s annual Memorial Day Parade begins at 10 a.m. on Monday. Due to this, the Claude Allouez Bridge in De Pere will be closed starting at 9 a.m. until approximately 12 noon. An alternative route across the Fox River should be utilized during this closure. Detour routes will be marked.

Finally, with all the events and gatherings going on - especially near Voyageur Park and Celebrate De Pere - there will be a tremendous amount of foot traffic downtown. The De Pere Police Department reminds everyone to please watch for pedestrians crossing streets, to make sure where you park is not a restricted area, and to be courteous to the neighborhoods and their property.
