Please join us at a special open house on Wednesday, Nov. 14 from 5 to 7 p.m. for the official launch of De Pere's new logo and branding, and to see detailed results of the De Pere Strategic Visioning and Branding Initiative. 
The event will be held at artless Bastard at 353 Main Avenue, with catering provided by The Runaway Spoon. Enjoy live music, light appetizers and a cash bar.



Important Items To Know!

Leaf collection runs through Nov. 16

Fall LEAF collection is scheduled to run until Nov. 16. Leaf piles may consist of leaves, small lawn rakings, grass clippings and small garden waste. 
Note the dates for leaf collection is TENTATIVE. Fall in Wisconsin can bring a wide variety of weather conditions, which may impact collection times and offerings. If you'd like to verify collection dates, please contact our Municipal Service Center (MSC) at 920.339.4060.

Winter plowing, sidewalk information

Winter is coming! Some will rejoice. Some will long for warmer days. But, either way, we all need to work together to keep our sidewalks and roadways safe. Here's some insight into our snowplowing and removal process. Also, please watch this 60-second video for a few reminders about keeping sidewalks clean and safe for pedestrians in winter. 

Short-Term Rental FAQ and Application

The short term rental of property is possible in the City of De Pere, per certain City of De Pere and Wisconsin Act 59 regulations. It looks easy when you go online and can quickly list your bedroom, loft, apartment, house, condo, etc., for rent on a multitude of private sites. However, you must also file a ‘Short Term Rental of Property’ application form with the City of De Pere. This instruction summary will help you define if your property qualifies as a short term rental property. This summary will also remind you of some of the steps and rules that must be adhered to in order to remain a short term rental property in good standing with the City of De Pere. Facility Referendum

Regarding the issue of aquatic facilities, the City of De Pere will hold a binding referendum on the Nov. 6 general election ballot. The referendum, in simple terms, will ask residents if they wish to allow the City to exceed the tax levy limits each year – on an ongoing basis - by up to $900,000 to first build and then maintain new aquatic facilities at the current sites of both VFW and Legion pools.

The De Pere Park, Recreation & Forestry Department’s Winter/Spring brochure is now online. Check it out! There are so many amazing ways to get involved in our community. Hard copies may be picked up at the De Pere Community Center, Municipal Service Center, City Hall and at the Kress Family Library as well.  Resident registration begins Wednesday, November 7; Non-Resident and Walk-in registration begins Wednesday, November 14.

De Pere police awarded for life-saving work

VOTE: Important info for Nov. 6 election

The fall general election is Nov. 6.  If you have moved or changed your name since the last time you voted, you are required to re-register to vote.  For your convenience, voter registration information is available at  My Vote Wisconsin is a useful tool for Wisconsin Voters to obtain information regarding your voter registration, polling place location, voting history, current office holders, and sample ballots for upcoming elections. You can search for information using your name and date of birth or you can search by address to find your polling place location. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The first-annual State of De Pere is Nov. 13

The first-annual "State of De Pere" event, hosted by the De Pere Area Chamber of Commerce, Definitely De Pere and the City of De Pere will be held Nov. 13 at St. Norbert College. SNC President Brian Bruess, Mayor Mike Walsh, and representatives from Definitely De Pere and the De Pere Area Chamber of Commerce will be among the speakers. Attendees can learn about the City of De Pere brand launch, Cultural Plan updates and more. There will be a short question and answer session at the end.
