EFRJ Summer School

The EFRJ is happy to announce that the biannual EFRJ Summer School will take place in Lisbon (Portugal) from 13 to 17 July 2015. This year the theme will be the EU Victims Directive 2012, with a focus on challenges and opportunities for RJ. More info will come soon, but for now... save the dates!

European Day for Victims of Crime

On 24 February 2015 the the European Day for Victims of Crime will be celebrated. In Brussels this half-day event has been organised by Steunpunt (in Dutch only). Keep us posted on the activities you will be organising on this day: visibility will be given on the EFRJ website and social media.

Restorative Justice: An International Journal

Volume 2 • Issue 3 • 2014
The 3rd issue of the 2014 volume of Restorative Justice has been published. Click here to have access to this issue and purchase the individual papers. For the subscription to the journal and for further information click here: reduced rates are foreseen members of the EFRJ, but also for students and members of criminology/restorative justice associations!

ALTERNATIVE Conference (Leuven, Belgium)

As a partner in this FP7 project, the EFRJ is happy to announce that the ALTERNATIVE conference will take place in Leuven (Belgium) on 16-18 November 2015. The theme will be Justice and Security in Intercultural Europe: Exploring Alternatives. The call for papers and posters will be open next week!

ALTERNATIVE Workshop (Oslo, Norway)

As part of the ALTERNATIVE project, the Norwegian project partner NOVA organises a regional workshop on RJ in intercultural settings on 10-11 February 2015 in Oslo (Norway). More info here.

Training on Child Protection, the Law and Managing the Professional Relationship (Dublin, Ireland) 

A training for facilitators, therapists, RJ practitioners and mediators dealing with sensitive cases of child sexual abuse will take place in Dublin on 3 March, 2015. The theme is Child Protection, the Law and Managing the Professional Relationship. Contact Facing Forward, or click here, for more info.

Training on RJ and adolescent harmful sexual behaviour

On 18-20 March 2015, a training for maximum 20 practitioners will take place in Manchester (UK) to enable participants to have a clear understanding of restorative approaches and their use in sensitive and complex cases which involve sexually harmful behaviours. Find here more info.

IIRP Europe Conference (Budapest, Hungary)

The IIRP Europe Conference will take place on 10-12 June 2015 in Budapest. The theme is From Dream to Reality: Dawning of a New Social Science. There is still time to submit a proposal for a 50-minute breakout session until 12 February. More info here.

Peace-building courses (Winnipeg, Canada)

The Canadian School of Peacebuilding in Winnipeg (Canada) will offer several courses in summer 2015 (15-26 June) for professional development, personal inspiration or academic credit. Find here more info.

World Society of Victimology (Perth, Australia)

The 15th International Symposium of the World Society of Victimology will be held in Perth (Western Australia) on the 5-9 July 2015. The theme will be Justice for Victims: Cross-cultural perspectives on conflict, trauma and reconciliation. Find here more info.

Conference on security, justice and democracy (Kathmandu, Nepal)
