ERASMUS+: Restorative ME
      The EFRJ is organising a training course under the Erasmus+ programme in Leuven (Belgium) for European youth workers between 22-30 years old. Find here more information and, if you are a resident in one of the partner countries, submit the online application form before 15 September.
RJ WEEK 2016
       The international RJ WEEK 2016 will take place between 20-27 November. The EFRJ would like to encourage your active participation in promoting RJ within the framework of this international event!
Correctional Service Canada is looking for information on recent RJ news and developments to include in its Basic Resource Kit (e.g. websites, books, articles, videos, etc. published after August 2015). Find here last year's Resource Kit.
EFRJ Conference 2016- resources online
        On 22-24 June 2016, the EFRJ held the 9th edition of its biennial international conference in Leiden (The Netherlands). This year's theme was ‘Realising Restorative Justice: Human Rights and Personal Realities’. We would like to thank all those people that made the EFRJ conference 2016 a success and share with you the presentations of plenary speakers and workshop presenters!
Prison dramaturgy
The theatre company 'Stabile Assai' of the Rebibbia prison in Rome is the oldest theater group operating within the Italian prison context. It performs memories and personal dramas lived by the inmates/actors. In August 2016, 'Stabile Assai' planned a series of performances in the South of Italy. Mostly, it will perform the show 'Scusate si so nato pazzo' (literally, 'I am sorry if I was born crazy') on the theme of the mental distress produced by the prison system. 
CEP conference on juvenile justice

The Confederation of European Probation (CEP, one of the members of the Criminal Justice Platform Europe) is organising the conference 'Working with young adult offenders' (age: 16-25 years old) in Norway on 31 August- 1 September 2016. More info here.

Conference on victims & corporations
The international conference 'Victims & Corporations. Rights of Victims, Challenges for Corporations, Potentials for new models of Criminal Justice' will take place at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan on 13-14 October 2016, in Italian and English with simultaneous interpretation. Participation is free of charge but registration is compulsory (before 20 September 2016). EuroCrim: ESC conference 2016

The 16th annual conference of the European Society of Criminology will take place in Münster (Germany) on 21-24 September 2016. This year's theme is 'Crime and Crime Control: Structures, Developments and Actors'. Click here for more info.

RJ Film Production: fundraising campaign 

Talweg Production, a French independent film production company, is currently producing 'Restorative Justice: Another Way', a documentary directed by Isabelle Vayron and Chloé Henry-Biabaud. Watch the trailer here. It started a Kickstarter campaign to collect funding to finalise the film production: feel free to contribute and share the campaign within your network. In exchange, you will be given the opportunity to screen the film in your organisation or community!

Academic journal contributions
  The editorial board of the academic journal TEMIDA invites contributions for its next issues on the following topics: Victims and internet (submission deadline: 1 September 2016) and Femicide (submission deadline: 1 November 2016). TEMIDA is a peer reviewed journal on victimization, human rights and gender published by the Victimology Society of Serbia. ERA seminar on impact of detention

The Academy of European Law (ERA) seminar on the impact of detention on prisoners,  juvenile justice in relation to detention, and the transfer of prisoners will take place in Madrid on 27-28 October. Find here more information on the programme and registration procedure.

Restorative Leeds conference
Restorative Leeds is organising a 3 day international restorative practice conference entitled 'Re-Imagining Child Welfare Services for the 21st Century' on 23-25 November 2016 in Leeds. Restorative Leeds is a project situated primarily within Leeds City Council's Children' Services, which uses family group conferencing and other restorative approaches in situations where there is the risk of a child being taken into care, and in social work more broadly.
VDS conference on victims

The Victimology Society of Serbia (VDS) is organizing its 7th annual conference 'Challenges of social reaction and victims' protection' on 24-25 November 2016 in Belgrade. The deadline for submitting abstracts is 1 October 2016. Find here more information about this event.

Moment of inspiration 

In this TED Talk 'A prosecutor's vision for a better justice system', Adam Foss, a prosecutor from Boston, talks about the US justice system, prosecuting and detaining young offenders instead of giving them an opportunity to change their life paths.
