Story Slam

Telling Stories

Stories are the most powerful way of understanding ourselves, each other and our world. They also help to create a sense of community and to remind its members of shared values and experiences. You are invited to a special Story Slam hosted by Dr. Allan Detsky of the Department of Medicine and Wilson Kwong, Nilay Shah, Shaurya Taran and Ariel Lefkowitz to be held on Tuesday, May 2, 2017. A story slam is an event that celebrates storytelling: it is a collection of stories (five minutes maximum) told by individuals on a specific topic without notes or props. The topic for this Story Slam will be about being a doctor and the practice of medicine. It’s a great chance to come together as a community, to hear amazing stories, and think about who we are and where we’re going. Read more.
