June 11 - Building Literacy and Confidence Through the Art of Comic Books
The youth organization "Kids Read Comics" was founded to encourage kids to get their creative juices flowing. The organization's founder, Chelsea librarian Edith Donnel, discusses the project and latest engagement opportunities with WEMU's David Fair and Arts Alliance CEO Deb Polich in this week's "creative:impact." Now that summer is here, there is so much to fill your sunny days-- from movies, live music and exhibits to theatre, dance and more. Here are a few fun events to mark on your calendars:
