Arts + Creative Industries e-Newsletter         February 5, 2019

Tune in Tuesday mornings at 7:49 & 9:49 a.m.
on WEMU 89.1FM
Co-hosted by The Arts Alliance’s Deb Polich and WEMU’s Morning Edition host David Fair, creative:impact features creative people and industry experts who live, have creative practices and jobs, own creative businesses in Washtenaw County and lead the sector locally, nationally and internationally. They are the driving forces making Washtenaw County one of Michigan's strongest and most vibrant arts and creative industry hubs.
Jan. 29 - Afa Dworkin's Distinguished Service To The Arts Throughout The World
Afa Sadykhly Dworkin puts the dynamic in the Aaron P. & Afa S.Dworkin duo receiving our Outstanding Service Medal 2019. She is changing the world for musicians of color around the globe. Artistic and executive director of the Sphinx Organization, Afa takes us on her journey beginning in Azerbaijan with stops in Ann Arbor, Detroit and Davos, Switzerland along the way. Listen here!

Celebrate their award at THE pARTy!, Feb. 11, at Dessous. Support The Arts Alliance too.  Click here for ticket information.
February 5 - Honoring Bill & Mary Kinley's Arts Philanthropy in Washtenaw County
Everyone says nice things about Bill and Mary Kinley. You’ll know why when you listen to this week’s edition of creative:impact. You’ll also learn why they are our pick for the 2019 Philanthropic Medal 2019. Warm, gracious and kind, the Kinleys have given generously to the arts and other causes. They have served on boards, volunteered, worked in the trenches and inspired others. Their philanthropy crosses throughout Washtenaw County. Listen here!
