The TSB25 is a small capacity grid storage box (storing up to 25 grids) designed as a low cost alternative to larger grid boxes where extra storage capacity is not required.
The box has a sliding cover, allowing access to 5 slots at a time and each slot is capable of storing a 3.05mm or 2.3mm diameter grid. Storage referencing is managed via recessed alpha numeric indexing on the sides of the box. The box contains two side features, allowing for easier handling during specimen removal, as well as a matt strip for extra notation. (Now used by Quantifoil Micro Tools GmbH.)

During imaging at cryo-temperatures, traditional carbon supports can sometimes move, particularly at the beginning of irradiation. This movement can blur images and often makes it difficult to determine the structures of small and challenging molecules.
We are now pleased to offer ultrastable gold support films for electron cryomicroscopy (designed by Lori Passmore and Chris Russo from the Medical Research Council Laboratory of Molecular Biology and licensed for production by Quantifoil Micro Tools GmbH) that will reduce the movement of frozen specimens during imaging. UltrAuFoils improve image contrast and quality leading to better 3D reconstructions with less data.

We are now able to offer a Graphene coating on a 1000 or 2000 Mesh Copper grid.
Our 2-3-layer Graphene film is unsupported and covers nearly 100% of the grid. This stable and clean continuous film provides a large area for viewing deposited materials and allows for good sample preparation.
Graphene coated grids may be used in both biological and material science sample applications, where the films can be used to characterise the structure of nanoparticles and thin film growth.
In addition to our extensive range of TEM Support Films, we also offer Silicon membranes manufactured by TEMwindows.

All of the Silicon based windows are designed to fit into standard 3 mm TEM sample holders. The optimal 100 micron thick frames fit a wide range of TEM holders and especially designed for high tilt and tomography applications.
EMAG 2018 Institute of Physics | Warwick University | 4th - 6th July 2018
EMAG 2018 will be held in July at the University of Warwick. The conference will focus on Applications of Electron Microscopy to Beam Sensitive Materials.
Several distinguished speakers have been invited to discuss new and exciting research within their fields, alongside contributed oral presentations and poster sessions (see abstract submission deadline below). A trade exhibition will also be held for delegates to explore the latest advances in instrumentation.
