GatewayJFK (formerly known as the JFK IBID) is where logistics and cargo, hotel, food service, retail, other industries, and a lively community, call home. We are a Business Improvement District in Southeast Queens that is home to over 600 businesses and 150 single family households. Our mission is to create a space in New York where the air cargo businesses can expand, thrive and be a good neighbor.

The meeting is free and open to the public, but you must be a registered member to vote for our Board of Directors.

GatewayJFK serves all property owners, commercial tenants and residents within the Greater JFK Industrial Business Improvement District,  however only registered members may vote and elect the Board of Directors. According to our by-laws, registered members must own or rent property inside the district boundaries and also register with the GatewayJFK office. Members only need to register once, and individuals will remain a member until their eligibility changes.

To vote at the June 13, 2019 Annual meeting you must be registered by June 7, 2019.

GatewayJFK Tackles Graffiti in District 

In April, GatewayJFK’s sanitation crew painted over three locations in the District to assist businesses who have experienced incidents of graffiti.

Cleaning graffiti is just one of the services that GatewayJFK offers to business owners and residents related to sanitation and improving quality of life in the area.

If you have an instance of graffiti that you would like cleaned, or if you would like GatewayJFK to take care of another Quality of Life Issue, please contact us at info@gatewayjfk.org, or use our Quality of Life Webform to make a report.

In March, twenty banners with the GatewayJFK logo were put up along Rockaway Blvd. and throughout the surrounding neighborhood streets. GatewayJFK is seeking sponsors to help install a second round of banners in June of this year. Each sponsor will have their company logo displayed for one full-year on the lower portion of the banner. The logo will make up to . Sponsoring a single banner will cost $1000.00, and sponsoring 3 or more banners will cost $750.00 per banner. GatewayJFK is a 501 c3 not for profit organization and all sponsorships are tax-deductible.

MTA Seeks Input on Queens Bus Improvements

The MTA has started a process to redesign the Bus Network across the entire borough of Queens. 

The Queens Bus Network Redesign is taking a holistic, blank-slate approach to bus service in the Queens and is collecting information from wokers and residents about what they think of the current Queens bus service and what changes they would like to see.

Help GatewayJFK Fight Illegal Dumping 

GatewayJFK is working with local business owners, residents, DSNY, and the NYPD to stop illegal dumping in the area.

GatewayJFK is working to make sure that garbage is removed from the street quickly and in a way that will have as little impact on business as possible.
