We are a Business Improvement District in Southeast Queens that is home to over 600 businesses and 150 single family households. Our mission is to create a space in New York where the air cargo businesses can expand, thrive and be a good neighbor.

Join our Virtual Annual Meeting on 10/15:

On Friday. Oct. 15th, 2021 at 12:00 noon GatewayJFK will be holding its 4th Annual Meeting. The Annual Meeting is an opportunity for GatewayJFK to report on the previous years activities and for our membership to elect our Board of Directors.

Due to Covid-19 and ongoing restrictions related to mass gatherings, this year the meeting will be held virtually using the Zoom platform.

GatewayJFK serves all property owners, commercial tenants and residents within the Greater JFK Industrial Business Improvement District, however, only registered members may vote and elect the Board of Directors. Members only need to register once, and individuals will remain a member until their eligibility changes. To vote at the October 15th, 2021 Annual meeting you must be registered by October 12, 2021.

Fare Notice: GatewayJFK Shuttle

As of Monday Sept. 27th the GatewayJFK Connection will charge a $2.50 fare for all rides. 

The shuttle runs on weekdays from 5:00 AM to 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM and runs between the GatewayJFK district and the Jamaica LIRR and E, J and Z Subway lines. Average ride times are 20 minutes. Riders can track the real time location of the shuttle on a map, reserve a seat, and digitally pay for their ride by downloading the Dollaride app.

The event will take place at 6:00pm on Thursday Nov. 4th 2021, at the TWA Hotel. The Gala will be a business and semi-formal attire event.

Job Fair; seeking Employers to Participate

NYS Senator James Sanders Jr. is hosting a job fair on October 11th from 10am-3pm. The Senators Office is seeking employers to participate in the event. This is a great opportunity to introduce your company to the local community and highlight the employment opportunities in the area. The event will take place at Hammel Houses Park - 81-04 Rockaway Beach Boulevard, Far Rockaway, NY 11693.

In memoriam: Walt Beadling

Walt Beadling of Cayuga Partners passed away after suffering a fatal heart attack on Tuesday Sept. 28th, 2021. Walt had years of experience in Air Cargo, deep connections to the JFK cargo community, and was a regular presence at KAAMCO meetings.

Walt was a Founder and the Managing Partner at Cayuga Partners, which he started in 2002 after doing extensive work on supply chain risk management, and supply chain modeling with Cornell University. For 12 years Walt was a Managing Partner at the Cargo Security Alliance, and he served as Vice President Supply Chain Division at Aspen Technology from 1998 to 2002.

Walt was a lead project manager on the JFK Truck Congestion project that GatewayJFK is currently undergoing with Rutgers University. He will be missed.
