eSearch Warrants

Judges in the 6th Judicial District have been trained on the BCA's eSearch Warrant, which allows peace officers to submit search warrant applications electronically. The system is very similar to the BCA's eCharging. Two 20 minute training videos are available on the BCA's Launch Pad Website, which can be accessed from MyBCA. You will need your nexTEST username and password in order to view the training. Please contact your agency TAC if you have questions about your nexTEST username and password.

New POR Electronic Submissions

The BCA is developing a new application called POR ES (Predatory Offender Registry Electronic Submissions), which will allow agencies to more easily make Change of Information updates. This application will be available in April, and more information will be sent to MyBCA users at that time.

Tips & Tricks

Are you searching in SHIELD RMS for a piece of property and having a hard time finding it? Try adding wildcards (%) to your search. First, open up the Property Search Window in SHIELD RMS. Next, type in a keyword in the Description field, but add wildcards to the beginning and end of the keyword. For instance, if you're looking for a chainsaw, enter %chainsaw% in the Description field. You'll get results for chainsaws whether they were entered as 12" chainsaw, 18 Inch chainsaw, red chainsaw, Stihl chainsaw, etc..

If your agency uses Web Shield, you don't have to worry about the wildcards (%) because they've been added in the background for you.
