Good afternoon church family.
We’ve been watching the forecast closely for tonight, and with counsel from our Elders and input from a couple other pastors in Mt Carmel, we have decided to postpone our midweek gathering tonight. While a forecast is only a prediction, all signs indicate that freezing rain and sleet will arrive just before we prepare to gather. We don’t want anyone to be at risk on the road in poor conditions at night, so we will pause our Bible studies and student and kids ministries for this week.
A reminder, we are planning next week, Wednesday, March 2 for the Ash Wednesday Prayer Walk from either 11 am to 1 pm or 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm. It is an event for the entire family. In addition, we will use our Midweek Family Meal Night as a fundraiser for youth going to International Youth Convention. The meal begins at 6, and offers a Baked Potato Bar and Barbecue Chicken. Plan to join us then for good food, to support our students, and to prepare your hearts for this Lenten Season. And be sure to join us Sunday for Worship at 10 am.
We will miss you this evening but pray you stay safe, and enjoy some time with your family in the presence of the Lord together.
