Lowry Thanks Its Veterans

Lowry remembers and thanks today all those who served in the military. Our special connection as a former Air Force Base means we have daily reminders of service--converted buildings and decommissioned aircraft are everywhere! The Lowry Foundation had a special Veterans Day presentation planned for today; however, in light of recently updated public health restrictions, this event is postponed until 2021.

LCMA 2020 Annual Meeting, Budget Ratification,
and Board Election Plans

In light of recent group gathering restrictions per Colorado and Denver public health orders, the 2020 LCMA Annual Meeting will be conducted differently this year. The Annual Meeting usually has two primary goals: (1) to ratify the operating budget for the upcoming year and (2) to elect Board of Directors members. This year, the Annual Meeting will be split into two meetings.

The Budget Ratification meeting will be held virtually via Zoom Webinar on Thursday, December 3rd at 6:00 p.m. Please CLICK HERE to find the meeting agenda enclosed in this email. LCMA members must pre-register to attend the meeting. Please complete the on-line form at http://bit.ly/LCMA12320 by Tuesday, December 1st to pre-register for the meeting.

While the Budget Ratification Meeting can be held virtually, the LCMA is unable to safely and effectively hold the Board of Directors election at this time. Colorado law permits the election to be postponed, and the LCMA will notify the community in advance when the election can be safely and practically accommodated. As such there is no proxy form to complete and return at this time.

Thank you,
LCMA Board of Directors

Recycle Your Political Yard Signs

It's time for political yard signs to come down! Did you know that many yard signs can be recycled? Cherry Creek Recycling Drop-Off is now accepting corrugated plastic election signs for recycling through November 17th.  Signs must be separated from their stands. Unfortunately, signs made from soft plastic, plastic film, or plastic-coated paper are not accepted for recycling at either the Drop-off or in recycle carts.

Location and hours for the Cherry Creek Drop-Off can be found here.

Prevent Vehicle Theft. The Denver Police Department reminds us that vehicle theft rises as temperatures drop due to so-called "puffers"--unattended cars left running to warm up. Here are their recommendations to prevent theft of, and from, vehicles.
