This is my favorite class to teach, and everyone who's taken it (5 year old kids to professional artists) has really enjoyed it. If you'd like to see some student work from an earlier class, check out my blog posts:

We'll be working in black clay and I'll provide a template so you can create a similar dragon to the one pictured here. But you're definitely encouraged to branch out and create your own dragon design, or any other creature.

All materials will be provided. (If you have clay supplies let me know. I can send you the materials list and you can waive the supply fee.) No experience needed. This is a great starting point for anyone who wants to try sculpting.

30 In 30 Day Challenge

I've been busy this month... My goal for January was to make (on average) a piece of art per day. And I made it.

Some of them came out wonderfully, some of them were just experiments with a new material, some of them I want to revisit and explore more... But it was a really wonderful, if sometimes hectic, experience.

And one of the pieces from this month, my Space Kraken! (and yes the exclamation point is part of the name!) was juried into the Warmer and Cooler show at Wickford Art Association. It will be on display until Feb 5th.

Speaking of dragons... I showed you this one last time, but he was named a Finalist in the 2016 FireMountain Creative Clays Contest.
